Topsy Turvy 50th Birthday Cake

This is my first attempt at a ‘Topsy Turvy’ birthday cake. I made it for my dad’s 50th last week. It took a long time to make and decorate. I think it was worth it though, everyone loved it and a lot of people thought I make cakes full time!! 
I made the cake in 3 tiers and had to take it 200 miles to the Isle of Wight praying that it didn’t get squashed or anything on the way. I put it together there. It tasted yummy lol and lasted a good few days.
It’s not perfect, and there are places I can improve – but for a first attempt I’m quite pleased
